The End Is Near...
The end of the campaign anyway.
I knew that would bring a smile to your face!
Keep an eye here for up-to-the-minute election updates. I don't foresee any major breaking news, but just in case, rest assured, I'll keep you updated. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions about anything you see or hear over the next few days, when there is not time to prepare a response.
I'm not a big fan of making campaign promises (if I could vote for 164 other people in the House and Senate, I could do that), but here's one for you… I PROMISE NOT TO ROBO-CALL YOU!! Even I am getting sick of those things and I am a junkie who likes to listen to them. Now of course, if you hear a call that pertains to this race, I can guarantee it's not me and I know nothing about it. Conveniently, because the campaign finance law was vetoed this year, the caller never has to say who paid for the call, which is also very annoying.
I would appreciate your vote on Tuesday, or tomorrow, or, or…

Opportunities
§ If you would like to be a Poll Watcher on Election Day, I need 12 volunteers, 1 for each of my polling places. This is the easiest job in the campaign and one of the best. I sign a form, you show up at your assigned polling place 5 minutes before 7:00 pm on November 7th. The poll closes; they run the computers and spit out numbers. You write down the numbers in my race and call me with the results.
§ FINAL Lit Drop! This is it folks, we're in the final countdown (cue 80s theme music). Saturday morning, November 4th, 10:00 am, 7820 Mullen Road, Lenexa. Again, let me know if you are able to come (if you own tennis shoes, I'll see you then). I'll need to make sure I have lists, literature, and food ready.
o Thank you to Kevin Riordan,
Linda Gallagher, Kim Galbreath, Lisa Benlon, and Amy Slater for your
help last week!

My favorite tool on the Johnson County Election website is the Sample Ballot: http://voter.jocoelection.org/(xvtext55xjegvyzjuzc1rs55)/search.aspx
Simply enter your name and birthdate to see your polling place and ballot. You can print the list, research races, highlight names and take it with you on Nov. 7.
Please do not hesitate to contact me about these or any other issues of interest to you. I appreciate the opportunity to represent you in Topeka.
