SMSD Budget Results

This is your reminder to vote tomorrow! Polls are open 7a-7p and you can find your exact ballot and polling location here: https://voter.jocoelection.org/Search.aspx

Mail Ballots:
If you are voting in advance by mail, TURN THE BALLOT OVER (yes, I’m yelling)!!!!! My husband thought he was done voting when we found more races on the reverse side of the ballot. Oh my.

Text Service
How cool is this? Text VOTEKS, your address and ZIP to 74574 and you will receive a reply with your polling location. Worked like a charm!

Cliff’s Notes
Many have asked for a Cliff’s Notes version of my picks for this election. In my previous newsletter, I outlined the reasons why I encourage you to consider these folks, so for brevity’s sake, only names this time. There were a few races I forgot, so some names are new. Don’t hesitate to reply with any questions.

About the Sharp Record
Stephanie Sharp was elected to represent Lenexa and Shawnee in the Kansas House of Representatives in November 2002 and started the Sharp Record as a way to inexpensively inform Kansans on happenings at the Kansas Statehouse. The newsletter boils down complicated political and legislative procedure to explain its impact on your everyday life.
Stephanie left the legislature in 2008 to further her career and start a family. In 2009, she was elected to the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) Board of Trustees where she now focuses the newsletter on a county-wide audience.
The Sharp Record is a conduit for the two-way conversation Stephanie believes is critical to representative government. To view previous editions and learn more about Stephanie, visit www.StephanieSharp.com.
